To celebrate its coverage of Euro 2004, Radio Five Live is launching
Euro Stars 聳 a nationwide poll to find Europe's greatest
footballer of all time.
Listeners will be asked to vote for their top five European footballers
of all time from a list of 40 selected by a panel of Five Live football
experts.
听
The panel consists of Mike Ingham, Alan Green, Jonathan
Pearce, John Murray, Jimmy Armfield, Mark Chapman and Guilleme Balague,
a Spanish football journalist.
Voting was launched on the Wright & Bright programme and has gone
live on the .
听
It will be open until Friday May 7.
The results will be announced in a live countdown programme on Bank
Holiday Monday, 31 May, at 8.00pm.
