A new character
called Chrissie is to join Albert Square at the end of April
and no one is more surprised than Den as we learn that Chrissie is in
fact his wife.

Until now 91Èȱ¬ ONE EastEnders viewers have
been kept pretty much in the dark as to what he has been up to for the
last 14 years in Spain.
Ìý
But it shouldn't come as a surprise to find that there
is a woman behind the scenes... enter Tracy-Ann Oberman.
Ìý
Tracy-Ann Oberman, 35, trained at the Central School
Of Speech and Drama.
Ìý
She most recently played Kenneth Brannagh's wife at
the National in Edmond.
Ìý
Her career spans 11 years and in that time she has built
up a diverse and interesting biography that includes roles in film,
radio, television and theatre.
Ìý
Tracy would be best recognised for her role in Bob Martin
(Granada Television) - starring opposite Dennis Lawson, Michael Barrymore
and Keith Allen as the cynical, sassy celebrity booker Beverly - and
for her role in Casualty (91Èȱ¬).
Ìý
She is a well established comedy actress and has appeared
on the Lenny Henry Show (91Èȱ¬) and Big Train for 91Èȱ¬ TWO with Simon Pegg.
Ìý
Tracy has also played parts in Kiss Me Kate (91Èȱ¬) and
Murder in Suburbia (ITV1).
Ìý
She is a regular on Radio 4 and was one of the original
cast members of the Sony Award-winning comedy show The Sunday Format.
Ìý
She has just finished a Channel 4 animated comedy series
made by Hat Trick Productions playing an Australian teacher called Miss
Vixen alongside Doom McKihan and Stephen Marchant (The Office).
Tracy said: "I feel like I'm caught in a whirlwind and my feet
haven't even touched the ground yet.

"I auditioned for EastEnders about 10 days before
I actually started filming so I haven't had time to think about what
this role is going to do to my life!

show and one I have been a fan of for many years.

"Working opposite Leslie Grantham is wonderful
and the cast and crew have been extremely welcoming and supportive.
