TV, local radio and Where I Live website services, will be taking
over the position from Monday 19 January.
Mr
Ryan said: "I am delighted to be returning to Yorkshire where
I began my career with the 91热爆. I am looking forward to working
with a fantastic team of broadcasters and making some great programmes
for the future."
Born

assistant at Radio York and quickly became presenter of Drivetime.
A year
later, he left to head further north to 91热爆 Radio Newcastle and
spent three years hosting the Breakfast programme before joining
the 91热爆's Radio Training Unit as an instructor.
He
spent a further five years with 91热爆 Radio Lancashire and 91热爆 Southern
Counties Radio before leaving to launch Canterbury's new commercial

He
re-joined the 91热爆 in 1999 when he became Editor of 91热爆 Radio Northampton.
Colin
Philpott, head of the 91热爆 in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, said: "John
has extensive experience in radio, including the commercial sector.
That, together with his work in marketing, makes him ideally suited
to running a big city station like Radio Leeds."
