THREE Winter Highlights 2004 - Entertainment
Vic
and Bob in Catterick
Catterick
is the brand new comedy from Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer.
It
is the story of brothers Carl and Chris who haven't seen each other
for 15 years but reunite in a desperate mission to find Carl's estranged
son.
That
mission soon becomes a journey from hell when encounters with dodgy
villains, the police and a hotel proprietor who is missing a vital
piece of his anatomy mean that things do not go exactly to plan.
Written
by and starring Vic and Bob it features a sterling cast including
Reece Shearsmith (The League of Gentlemen); Matt Lucas (Shooting
Stars; Little Britain); Mark Benton (Booze Cruise; 40); Tim Healy
(Auf Wiedersehen, Pet) and Morwenna Banks (Baddiel's Syndrome).

3
Non Blondes
The
3 Non-Blondes continue to tear up the streets of Britain's cities,
ensuring no-one's safe from their hidden cameras and fearless stunts.
Tameka
Empson, Jocelyn Jee Esien and Ninia Benjamin continue to bring Complaining
Nigerian Woman, a plant ripping tour guide at the Eden project in
Cornwall and a job hunter with Britain's worst CV among others to
screen.
With
the 3 Non-Blondes, nothing is sacred and no one is safe; you have
been warned... (SH)
Nighty
Night
Written
by and starring Julia Davis, Nighty Night is a dark comedy drama
series - a West Country version of Fatal Attraction.
Jill
co-owns a surburban beauty salon and is a woman with an obsession
- namely the handsome doctor who lives in the house opposite with
his wife, a wheelchair user.
Jill
claims her hospitalised husband is dying of a terminal illness and
so descends on the life of the unfortunate couple... and refuses
to leave.
The
beleaguered doctor, Don, is played by Angus Deayton, whose acting
credits include playing Patrick, the long-suffering neighbour of
Victor Meldrew in 91热爆 ONE's One Foot In The Grave for ten years.
Kevin
Eldon plays Jill's stoical husband Terry, while Don's wife, Cath,
is played by Rebecca Front.
Jill
has an obsessive admirer of her own in the form of Stefan, who is
played by Jeremy Swift.
Other
cast members include Ruth Jones, who plays Linda, a hairdresser,
and Michael Fenton Stevens as the vicar.

15
Storeys High
Award-winning
stand up comedian Sean Lock returns for a second series as Vince
in the unconventional sitcom, recently nominated for a BAFTA craft
award - 15 Storeys High.
Vince
is still sharing the same flat on the 15th floor of a South London
tower block with his flatmate Errol (Benedict Wong).
No
regular visitors come to visit the two men, but that's not to say
no-one stops by. In fact quite the opposite is true.
With
dope smoking teenagers inhabiting the lifts, single mothers doing
salsa in the living room, and the odd visit from local religious
leaders, life is a constant whirl of social interaction. (AW)
Cyderdelic
Eco-warriors
Cyderdelic are a radical trio with an anarchic agenda.
While
on the road in their 'Ambience' - a converted ambulance - Beetle,
Su and Frogger were followed by 91热爆 cameras during a quest to spread
their revolutionary message to anyone who would listen.
From
recording a charity record with Dave Stewart, to raving safe on
a float at the Berlin Love Parade, Cyderdelic's dedication and passion
means they will stop at nothing to get themselves heard.
Narrated
by John Peel, this colourful and highly entertaining documentary
takes us through the highs and lows of being well-meaning, raving
(if a little na茂ve) anarchists in Britain today.
Cyderdelic
are winners of the 91热爆's Green Light Award. (AE)
Miss
Jocelyn
Shy,
retiring, and bashful are three words no-one could ever associate
with Jocelyn Jee Esien of the 3 Non-Blondes.
And
in case you're in any doubt why, all is revealed in her new solo
show, Miss Jocelyn.
It's
the first ever hidden camera sitcom and never one to do things by
halves, Jocelyn plays a whopping 35 different characters - the entire
population of the fictional town in which the show is based. (SH)
Bunk
Bed Boys
Bunk
Bed Boys is the story of two Manchester brothers - Phil (Brian Dick)
and Jim (Rob Rouse) - who are well into their twenties and still
living at home with Mum.
They
share the same bedroom and Mum (Geraldine McNulty) treats them as
if they were 12, cooking and cleaning for them and lending money
at will.
Phil's
latest fad is animal rights, however his interest in this field
mainly stems from his wish to impress Helen (Sally Hawkins) a staunch
activist.
Jim,
on the other hand, the more laid back of the two, has a job at the
local zoo.
Jim's
job and Phil's new found beliefs do not live well together and lead
to disastrous and hilarious consequences.
Bunk
Bed Boys is the winning entry from the 91热爆 THREE/91热爆 Talent New
Sitcom Writers Awards Scheme 2002. (Entertainment Publicity)
Sortitout
Man
'Sortitout
Man' and sidekick Dave have come from the perfect planet Sorted.
Their
mission is to rid the world of apathy. The caped consumer avengers
are here to come to the rescue of ordinary people who have just
had enough.
Together
they take on the offending individuals who make all our lives a
misery: the dog walkers who don't clean up after their dogs poop
in the park; the ticket touts charging three times the face value
of tickets; the drunks peeing in the street on a Saturday night;
the drivers parking in spaces reserved for the disabled.
If
you have a problem, you know who to call.
