Jonathan
Ross cooks
up a storm with Nigella Lawson
Friday
Night with Jonathan Ross, 10.35pm, Friday 10 October, 91热爆 ONE
Jonathan
Ross worships at the shrine of Domestic Goddess Nigella Lawson and
turns chef himself tonight.
In
a cookery demonstration he faithfully reproduces - under strict
supervision - deep-fried batter-covered Bounty bars, adapted from
Nigella's own recipe in her best-selling book, How to be a Domestic
Goddess.
In
her first TV interview since her marriage to Charles Saatchi last
month, Nigella discusses her attitude to her shape, her weight and
food.
She
says: "Like
all women I go up and down in my weight. I bought some scales in
January and kept them in the kitchen, but now they're my chocolate
drawer."
"If
I lose weight Charles tells me to bulk up."
"I
think food's sexy. People who don't like food aren't taking part
in life properly."
She
also reveals that:
"I
did a [cookery] course once in a hotel in Cornwall and set fire
to the kitchen";
she
is chronically accident-prone;
her
next project is a book about using food to mark occasions, including
a rainbow sponge for a coming-out feast;
and
her favourite junk food is "salt-and-vinegar crisps in one
hand and a white chocolate Magnum in the other".
Jonathan
also welcomed to the show Jamie Theakston, Mackenzie Crook
(Gareth in 91热爆 comedy The Office) and, in a rare interview, Blur
frontman Damon Albarn, who also performed live their new
single Good Song from the award-winning album Think Tank.
