On
91热爆 News 24's HARDtalk tonight (Tuesday 30 September) Tim Sebastian
talks to Dr Keith Goh.
Dr
Goh led the surgical team that tried to separate the 29-year-old
Iranian twins, Ladan and Laleh Bijani, who were joined at the head.
The
operation, which was held in Singapore, was unsuccessful. The case
raised serious ethical issues. Should doctors allow patients to
undergo such risk procedures?
Critics
argue the risks were too high. Supporters say the sisters understood
the risks and had every right to take them.
What
does the lead surgeon think? And does he have any regrets about
letting the surgery proceed?
He
talks to Tim Sebastian on HARDtalk on 91热爆 News 24 at 11.30pm.
