cleans up at Inside Soap awards
EastEnders
stars were celebrating last night after winning eight different
awards at the Inside Soap awards.
Shane
Ritchie, who plays Alfie Moon, won four awards himself,
sexiest male, best newcomer, funniest character and best soap family
as part of the Moon family.
Shane
said: "I'm not saying I didn't enjoy doing what I did, but
there is no better job than playing Alfie Moon. I mean, I run the
Queen Vic!"
The
soap also won best soap for the third consecutive year and there
were further awards for Steve McFadden who won
best actor for playing hardman Phil Mitchell, June Brown
won an outstanding achievement award to recognise her contribution
to the soap as Dot Branning nee Cotton.
Jessie
Wallace, who won sexiest female for playing feisty Kat
Slater, said: "It goes to show, you don't need to be a stick
insect to be considered sexy, which I think is a really positive
message to send out to young girls".
All the
