CBeebies
declares National Sing-a-Song Week
This
week CBeebies is encouraging mums, dads and carers to get
singing in Sing-a-Song Week.
Chris
Jarvis, presenter with the 91热爆's pre-school digital channel,
is encouraging parents and carers to get involved with the nation's
most popular children's channel along with their kids.
"Here
at CBeebies we can't wait to see what the nation's favourite CBeebies
song is and hope that everyone will have lots of fun in the process,"
he says.
"CBeebies
Sing-a-Song week will be encouraging you to break into song, helping
your child's development whilst having a good time!"
As
part of the week CBeebies will be running Top of the Tots
- a chance for viewers and their children to pick your favourite
CBeebies theme tune.
CBeebies
viewers will be able to sing along to the top ten favourite songs
by pressing the red button on their remote control where they and
their children can have fun with CBeebies karaoke.
They
are then invited to vote for the top CBeebies theme tune via the
CBeebies website - .
The
top tune will be announced on the CBeebies channel on Friday (3
October).
The
91热爆 has a history of a successful contribution to the musical arts
and CBeebies is proud to do its bit with classic theme tunes like
Balamory, Fimbles and Tweenies.
Research
shows that singing to your child can help encourage their vocabulary
and attention span.
Repetition
of simple songs and chants can help your child to learn the basic
structure of spoken language.
Music
also offers children a way to explore a whole range of moods and
emotions they can identify with, but can't yet put into words.
The
CBeebies website will be providing lots more fun to coincide with
sing-a-song week.
Join
in the fun by singing songs and making music with your favourite
CBeebies characters.
