Five Live - on air and online
91热爆
Radio Five Live, the UK's premier news and sport station, has relaunched
its website -
- to reflect the network's modern sound, and give listeners a chance
to get involved with Five Live like never before.
Visitors
to the new site, available through 91热爆i, will find information,
news, sport, games, football gossip, presenter biographies and photos,
virtual tours of the Five Live studios as well as live streaming
of Five Live and Five Live Sports Extra.
Some
selected highlights of the website:
Alan
Green's Premiership Penalties 聳 Listeners can challenge
their mates in this brand new penalty shoot out competition.
If
players score three or more penalties they are entered into a draw
for a chance to win stunning Five Live prizes.
All
New Challenge Lawro 聳 Each week Mark Lawrenson will give
predictions to several top football games.
Listeners
are invited to compete against him by giving their predictions to
the same games and move around the leader board as they get them
right - or indeed wrong.
Producer
Panic 聳 This is a brand new game on Five.
Players
take on the role of producer with a limited amount of time to pull
together a show.
The
producer has to be steered carefully through the Five Live studios
to collect the essentials for the programme whilst avoiding security
men, suited executives and office gossips who all try to take up
time.
Rate
the Rumour 聳 Linked to Five Live's football gossip programme
The Rumour Mill, visitors to the site are invited to "rate
the rumour" by giving top back page stories marks out of five
for their veracity.
Inside
Five Live - This section is dedicated to letting listeners behind
the scenes at Five Live.
There
is a "Virtual Tour" which uses cutting edge iPix technology
to give listeners a 360掳 tour of the station's studios and newsrooms,
allowing listeners to move their mouse around images to have a real
snoop.
"24
Hours at Five Live" provides behind-the-scenes snapshots of
a thriving news and sport station.
Radio
Player 聳 The radio player allows users to listen live to
Five Live and Five Live Sports Extra, but also to hear favourite
programmes again such as the Five Live Report or 606.
There
will be a daily sports quiz, which will tie in with Jonathan
Pearce's Midweek Sport on Five, as well as news, politics and film
quizzes, plus message boards, programme information and weather
and travel updates.
Michael
Hill, 91热爆 Radio Five Live Interactive Editor, said: "This new
website is modern, fresh and really complements what we do on air,
with the added advantage of access whenever, wherever and however
they want it.
"It
is easier to navigate and really encourage listeners to get involved
with the station in new ways."
