The
Agents with Carrie Grant
Initial
and C91热爆 mobilise young talent teams in the hunt for next generation
of entertainers
Initial
(part of Endemol UK) has been commissioned by C91热爆 to produce The
Agents - a brand new reality entertainment series where young talent
teams strive to discover the UK's hottest new stars.
Each
week, the show gives three students from two different local schools
the opportunity of finding and nurturing a "star in the making"
from right under their very noses.
The
agent teams have two days to organise auditions and select their
young hopefuls before grooming them in a specific discipline - whether
it's rapper, dance troupe, or even an impressionist.
They
are then given just one week to make the transformation with the
help of a set budget that can be spent on anything from hair stylists
or lighting experts to stage props.
Carrie
Grant, the vocal coach from Fame Academy with more than 20 years'
experience in the entertainment industry, will be available to offer
advice and support for the agents.
At
the end of the day, however, the teams must make their own decisions
and use their own initiative.
After
two weeks of intense auditions and training, the rival teams go
head-to-head in a showdown between their two stars in front of an
audience and a judging panel.
Each
week's winner will be given a prize.
More
importantly, Carrie will be keeping an eye out for the best agent
teams who will win a place in the grand finale and a shot at the
top prize for their school.
Christopher
Pilkington, Head of Initial Kids, says: "This really is all
about empowering our audience - we journey with them as they make
the decisions."
Anne
Gilchrist, Head of Entertainment, C91热爆 adds: "Talent shows
have always been about performance - through The Agents the C91热爆
audience will discover that finding and developing talent is just
as big a challenge!"
The
Agents with Carrie Grant will go out on Saturday and Sunday evenings
on the C91热爆 Channel. There are 16 x 25 minute programmes.
All the
91热爆's digital services are now available on ,
the new free-to-view digital terrestrial television service, as well
as on satellite and cable.
Freeview
offers the 91热爆's eight television channels, interactive services
from 91热爆i, as well as 11 91热爆 radio networks.
