Arabic launches new FM in northern Jordan
The
91热爆 Arabic Service has improved the quality of its broadcasts to
northern Jordan and surrounding areas with the launch of a new FM
transmitter in the region.
81.9FM
in Ajloun, started broadcasting on Wednesday 19 March, and ensures
that listeners in northern Jordan and in surrounding areas can tune
in to 91热爆 Arabic in quality FM sound.
81.9FM
is the second 91热爆 Arabic FM service in Jordan. Under a co-operation
agreement between the 91热爆 and Jordan Radio and TV Corporation (JRTV),
the 91热爆 has been broadcasting on 103.1FM in Amman since 1998 (the
service was formally opened by the late King Hussein).

Abu Ala, Head of International Broadcasting Relations at the 91热爆
Arabic Service, said: "This is a high-power project, carrying
the strongest FM signal in the region to complement the Amman FM
and to provide an excellent service to listeners in northern Jordan
and adjacent areas who are hungry for accurate, objective information.
"I
believe that the new transmitter in Ajloun has started at the very
right moment. This new project is a major addition to our FM network
in the Arab world."
The
91热爆 Arabic Service also broadcasts 720 and 639 kHz on medium wave
to the Eastern Mediterranean and 1314 and 702 kHz in the Gulf region.
It
is available on FM in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and in Khartoum and
Wad Madani in Sudan.

Arabic is also available, along with 91热爆 World Service in English,
on audio channels of Arabsat, Nilesat and Orbit. 91热爆 Arabic broadcasts
24 hours a day and also transmits live audio stream on the award-winning
news site, .
