HARDtalk:
Njongonkulu Ndungane
On
91热爆 News 24's HARDtalk tonight (Wednesday 5 March 2003), Tim Sebastian
interviews Njongonkulu Ndungane, Archbishop of Cape Town.
How
should the international community encourage change in a troubled
regime? The recent visit of Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe to
Paris has heightened the debate, with France saying it's better
to engage with Harare than punish it with sanctions.
President
Mugabe has invited the Archbishop of Cape Town, Njongonkulu Ndungane,
to act as his mediator.
The
Archbishop has recently been embroiled in a fierce debate with the
South African government over its handling of the Aids crisis.
He
talks to Tim Sebastian about how he feels he can help Harare overcome
its problems when there is still so much work to do at home.
