Terror predictions of September 11 hero

Inside Out, Monday 10 February, 7.30pm, 91热爆 ONE (South West region only)

On September 11 2001, the world changed in a way that no one foresaw. Except, perhaps, for Rick Rescorla.

Rescorla's bravery is now legendary. On September 11, the 62-year-old, working as Head of Security for Dean Witter, led 2,700 employees from the Twin Towers to safety.

Despite fears that the South Tower was on the verge of collapse, Rescorla returned inside to look for stragglers. He was never seen again.

In this week's Inside Out, tonight on 91热爆 ONE South West, we reveal that there is still more to be discovered about his involvement in the tragedy.

In an astonishingly prophetic interview never before broadcast in this country, Rescorla is shown voicing his fears about a new age of terror being brought to the heart of the cities of the United States three years before the incident in which he lost his life.

Inside Out follows the story from Rescorla聮s beginnings in Hayle, Cornwall right up to his death.

We hear from Dan Hill, his best friend and former United States Special Forces soldier, who helped Rescorla evaluate the risks to the Twin Towers in 1990.

He explains how they talked about their fears of a cargo jet being flown into the World Trade Centre.

Rescorla then pressed his employers Dean Witter to leave the Twin Towers and move to Jersey.

In this amazing interview, shown exclusively, Rescorla talks in depth about this new age of terror and sounds a warning about America's role in dealing with it.

Despite his valiant deeds Rescorla hasn't yet received official recognition but in his Cornish birthplace the campaign continues in his honour.

Tonight's Inside Out may add further weight to the campaign.
