Malachi
is 22, single and comes from County Tyrone in Northern Ireland where
he lives with his parents.They
are a very close family and very proud of Malachi getting this far.
They
are all very musical and tell tales of family nights where they
stay up till the small hours singing and playing music.
Malachi
has lived in the same house all his life and still knows all the
children he went to primary school with.
His
life still revolves around Donaghmore and its inhabitants. He had
never left Ireland before the Fame Academy auditions.
His
main passions are his music, his family and socialising with his
mates. He works as a gas fitter.
He
has been singing since he was performed in his school choir, been
part of the local amateur society, performed at weddings and sung
since he was three.
He
loves everything from folk right through to rock. He's grown up
with folk music but in the last number of years he's been breaking
into other types of music.
The
three bands that influence him the most are The Pogues, U2 and Van
Morrison. His favourite songwriter is Shane McGowan.
He
would like to be recognised and known for his talents. The money
side of things would make life a little bit easier.
He
always loves meeting new people from different backgrounds. This
opportunity would help him discover new things about himself and
help him develop his personality and skills.
Malachi
has been heavily involved in local charity work since he was 15
years old - always raising money through his music.
