Ainslie
Henderson
Ainslie is 23 and originally from Denholm near Hawick, Scotland
although now he lives in London.
He
was born in Edinburgh and spent most of his life growing up in a
tiny rural village in the Scottish borders with his mum and younger
brother.
He
left school and formed a band called Suburbia which was signed to
the small Los Angeles-based label, City of Angels.
When
the label went bust and the band broke up last year, Ainslie found
himself in London. He had been due to go to Edinburgh University
after school but deferred for a year and 5 years later still hasn't
got round to it!
Ainslie
is currently unemployed but describes himself as a singer songwriter.
His main ambition is to be an accomplished singer/songwriter and
performer.
His
biggest achievement in life is playing in a gig at the Viper Rooms
in LA to the heads of A&R of almost every major record label.
Ainslie plays the guitar (self taught) and enjoys listening to mainly
guitar music.
He
writes his own material which is a mix of Beatles, Oasis and Radiohead
but he is also inspired by Eric Clapton, David Bowie and Noel Gallagher,
whom he regards as his favourite songwriter.
His
favourite male artist is Jeff Buckley and female is Bjork.
