Regional current affairs move to 91热爆 ONE - Inside Out launches
on 9 September
The
91热爆 is launching a new prime time programme for 91热爆 ONE viewers
in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
Inside
Out is the new name for the regional programme which will be
used across all the English Regions.
It
will replace the range of individual titles previously used on 91热爆
TWO (Close Up North in Yorkshire & Lincolnshire) and introduce
a completely new approach to engaging audiences with aspects of
life in their region.
Inside
Out will be made and produced locally. It will feature three different
stories each week - all designed to offer, as the new series strapline
says, "surprising stories from familiar places."
Morland
Sanders will be the main presenter. He will also be joined on
Inside Out by Lucy Hester and Sophie Hull, as well as guest presenters
including Sir Bernard Ingham, Edwina Currie and boxer Johnny Nelson.
"Our
region is an extremely varied, large and lively one and we know
that there are lots of people out there with tales to tell,"
said Morland.
"We'll
be in different parts of Yorkshire and Lincolnshire each week, unearthing
the sort of stories which don't necessarily fit into our current
programmes. Inside Out will give us the chance to connect with our
audiences even more."
The
new show is being seen as a vote of confidence in regional TV following
its sweeping success in the 6.30pm regional news slot.
Inside
Out was commissioned by 91热爆 ONE controller Lorraine Heggessey.
Editor
Ian Cundall said: ""Inside
Out is a radical departure for us - and we think viewers will love
our combination of fresh stories told in an engaging way by a young
team of presenters.
"We'll
be aiming to present the show from a different location each week,
visiting places the people of Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the North
Midlands know and love."
