Alison Sharman took up her role as the new Controller
of C91热爆 in June 2005. She left the 91热爆 in November 2005.

Previously, Alison was Controller of Daytime from January
2002.
As well as maintaining audience share and loyalty to
Daytime, Alison also brought distinctive 91热爆 programmes to the audience,
including The Afternoon Play, Beaten starring Robson Green; Britain's
Secret Shame, Daytime's first ever foray into campaigning current affairs;
and a number of news specials.
She also worked to develop 91热爆 Daytime as the nursery
slope for peak for both talent and formats, eg Bargain Hunt; Flog It
and the much talked about single play.
She commissioned family series like the return
of Ask The Family, starring Dick & Dom, for the 6.00-7.00pm slot
on 91热爆 TWO.
In her previous role as Creative Director, General Factual,
Alison was responsible for the whole of the Birmingham and London daytime
output including such brands as Call My Bluff and Trading Up.
Alison started her career as a 91热爆 secretary on consumer
affairs programme Watchdog, going on to series produce the 91热爆 Holiday
programme.
She has also worked at BSkyB; TV-am and has made programmes
for Channel 4.
Alison's first foray into daytime was in 1998 as Head
of Development.
Under her leadership, 91热爆 Daytime won both critical
acclaim and awards for the current affairs series Britain's Secret Shame;
and for popular drama series Doctors and the Afternoon Plays. Doctors
was also nominated for a prestigious Bafta award.
