91Èȱ¬ Earth Films’ $25 million ENCHANTED KINGDOM 3D has been one of IM Global's top sellers in Cannes, it was announced jointly today by IM Global CEO Stuart Ford and Managing Director 91Èȱ¬ Worldwide Global Brands, Marcus Arthur.
Ford, Neil Nightingale (Creative Director for 91Èȱ¬ Earth) and Amanda Hill (Managing Director of 91Èȱ¬ Earth) presented ENCHANTED KINGDOM 3D at a private, standing room only event.
Before buyers even left the theatre, the film started to sell.
Many deals were closed just after the screening, while the rest were concluded in the next few days.
Closed deals include France with Metropolitan; Benelux with DFW; Germany with Constantin; Canada with E1; China with New View; Korea with Uni Korea; Russia and Eastern Europe with EEAP; Middle East with Gulf; Israel with Forum; Asia PTV with Star; Greece with Village; Turkey with Pinema; Iceland with Samfilm and airlines with EIM.
ENCHANTED KINGDOM 3D, produced by 91Èȱ¬ EARTH FILMS, EVERGREEN FILMS and RELIANCE ENTERTAINMENT is the most ambitious wildlife film undertaken by 91Èȱ¬ Earth Films to date.
Working with 3D specialist Evergreen Films, ENCHANTED KINGDOM will use innovative 3D technology to break new ground in visually immersive 3D cinema.Â
ENCHANTED KINGDOM 3D follows on the heels of the success IM Global has enjoyed with its other 91Èȱ¬ Earth Films projects, ONE LIFE, slated for release later this year, and WALKING WITH DINOSAURS 3D, introduced at AFM 2010, where it sold to Fox in the largest AFM deal at the market.
Said IM Global CEO Ford, "I think the marketplace is well acquainted now with the unbelievably high caliber of work that 91Èȱ¬ Earth Films are capable of. Although huge in ambition, this project is right in their sweetspot and the strong buyer reaction doesn't surprise me."
Said 91Èȱ¬ Worldwide's Arthur, "Enchanted Kingdom is an utterly compelling film, combining enthralling stories with incredible 3D imagery. It’s the ultimate natural history cinema experience. I’m delighted that, with this success at Cannes, Enchanted Kingdom will reach a global audience."
