Two 91Èȱ¬-branded channels to launch this year.

91Èȱ¬ Worldwide and Televisa Networks today announced the signing of a landmark partnership deal in Spanish-speaking Latin America that will see the launch of two 91Èȱ¬-branded entertainment channels later this year in Mexico.

91Èȱ¬ Worldwide – the commercial arm of the 91Èȱ¬, the world's largest broadcasting corporation – is committed to building its investment in Latin America.Ìý

The partnership with Televisa Networks – the pay TV arm of Grupo Televisa, the largest media company in the Spanish-speaking world – positions the two media companies to explore further synergistic media opportunities.

The roll out of two new channels, 91Èȱ¬ Entertainment and pre-school children's channel CBeebies, will mark the first time the 91Èȱ¬â€™s wholly-owned global channels have entered the Latin America market.Ìý

The channels have achieved outstanding ratings and critical acclaim in Europe, since launching in Poland last year, while earlier launches in Singapore, Hong Kong, India and South Korea have already bolstered the 91Èȱ¬â€™s presence across Asia.

The channels:
The new channels will showcase some of 91Èȱ¬ Worldwide Channels' most renowned content. Programming schedules will be confirmed closer to launch.


CBeebies is a channel designed specifically for Spanish-speaking pre-school children. The channel's mix of live action, puppets, animation, and story telling provides a unique schedule that emphasizes the social, emotional and personal development of preschoolers. CBeebies is designed to encourage interactivity and presents "learning through play" for pre-schoolers and carers within a consistently safe, non-violent and trusted environment.

91Èȱ¬ Entertainment showcases the very best drama, comedy, and light entertainment programming from the 91Èȱ¬ and other world class production houses. Modeled on 91Èȱ¬ Worldwide’s flagship channel 91Èȱ¬ AMERICA in the U.S., this channel will offer a witty, edgy alternative for Latin American viewers.
