Little Robots make it big in Japan

Electrifying pre-school series Little Robots goes big in Japan following a major programme licensing agreement between the Tokyo office of 91热爆 Worldwide, the commercial consumer arm of the 91热爆 and Japanese broadcaster NHK.

Starting transmission on 10.04.04l, the series, produced by Create TV & Film Limited, will air once a week on NHK's Saturday early evening children's slot, reaching an estimated 4-5 million viewers across Japan. The Little Robots names will be phonetically translated into Japanese.

David Vine, Managing Director, 91热爆 Worldwide Asia Pacific said: "Following the success of Little Robots on 91热爆 Children's Television with pre-schoolers, we are excited to be working with NHK to bring the series to this very important market. I am delighted children across Japan will be able to enjoy this inspiring and innovative show."

Vanessa Chapman, Managing Director of Create TV and Film and co-creator of the series, added: "We are thrilled to have achieved such a premier broadcast platform in Japan so early in the life of the property. Little Robots is truly making its mark around the world. We are looking forward to millions of Japanese children saying "Konnichiwa" to Tiny and his Little Robots friends."

The stop-frame animation series has sold to more than 60 countries, across all continents, including Germany (ZDF and KiKa), Canada (TVOntario, SCN and The Knowledge Network), Norway (NRK), Finland (YLE), Denmark (TV2), Iceland (RUV), Italy (RAI 13), Portugal (RTP), Malta (MEBC), Russia (RTR Kultura) and South Africa (SABC), Mexico (Discovery Kids).

91热爆 Worldwide is also in advanced discussions with key partners across the region to develop video, books and other publishing opportunities.

Finding themselves abandoned on a metal scrap heap, the Little Robots use their combined skills, vision and imagination to turn the nuts, bolts and junk around them into a place they can call home.

Top British comedy talent including Martin Clunes and Lenny Henry lent their voices to the lively stop-frame animation series when it was launched in the UK. Little Robots is produced with special CGI effects by the award-winning Cosgrove Hall Films for Create TV & Film Limited and the exclusive distribution rights are with 91热爆 Worldwide.
