Static 2358 Invites Viewers to Challenge the Experts of Radio Times

Radio Times and media company Static 2358TM, a wholly-owned subsidiary of OpenTV (NASDAQ and Euronext Amsterdam: OPTV), have launched a television trivia quiz on the PlayJam channel, allowing viewers to pit their wits against the experts of Britain's leading broadcasting magazine.

The quiz will have three separate rounds - starting with multiple choice, followed by true or false, and finishing with "have a guess". Daily prizes will range from DVDs to videos and books. In addition, a weekly draw will include "money-can't-buy" rewards such as a VIP behind-the-scenes trip to a recording of Top of the Pops, including drinks in the show's Star Bar during the show.

The quiz runs for six weeks throughout March and April and is available to Sky's 5.7 million UK digital satellite homes. Contestants can take part by clicking on the interactive button on the Sky handset and selecting the PlayJam channel.

PlayJam is the world's most popular interactive television service. Over 1.6 billion games were played on the channel in its first year alone. PlayJam has 1.3 million registered users in the UK. The quiz will be marketed in Radio Times magazine and on its web site. Radio Times has more than 3.3 million readers each week and its online version has generated three million page impressions per month.

Rebecca Woodward, Head of New Media, Radio Times, said:
"It's the first time Radio Times has launched this kind of interactive service - and now Sky Digital's viewers have the chance to take on the experts of Radio Times and PlayJam. We cover the best things on TV each week and we believe working with PlayJam means Radio Times itself is now one of the best things on TV".

Jasper Smith, CEO of Static2358, said:
"This partnership with Radio Times demonstrates Static's ability to work with well recognised UK brands. While we are continuing to develop our own content, we also want to work with third parties to expand the range of games on PlayJam."
