Tokyo, Thursday 1 September 2011. 91热爆 World Japan Ltd has announced that Colin Lawrence has been appointed, Representative Director of 91热爆 World Japan Ltd. Colin will take-on this role alongside his current position as Commercial Director for 91热爆 World News Ltd, the 91热爆s global news network.

Alongside his global role, Colin will be working with the Tokyo based team in building and supporting partnerships with major distribution partners, and working to deliver new HD and video-on-demand services. In addition, Akiko Miyazaki has been appointed COO Representative Director, 91热爆 World Japan Ltd.

Commenting on his appointment, Colin says: 鈥淚鈥檝e worked closely with the team in Japan for the past 18-months and I鈥檓 looking forward to building on our already successful business in the market. There are many opportunities for growth and technology will play a key role in delivering an outstanding channel proposition for both our distribution partners and Japanese audiences.鈥�

In recent years, Colin has also significantly contributed to the channel's exceptional advertising revenue growth and in his role as Commercial Director he鈥檚 led the business into double-digit profit for the first time in the channels history.
