World Cup correspondents: Poland

How well can Poland do this summer?

This is Poland's first World Cup since 1986, but has football moved on since their last appearance?

Wojtek is a lawyer and works in Poland's capital Warsaw. He assesses Poland's chance in Korea and Japan.

How is your country preparing for the World Cup?

Our team played two sparring matches, with Japan and Romania, both were lost. I do not remember anything more about their preparations to the World Cup at the moment.

How do you think Poland will do in the World Cup?

I think they have a chance to go through eliminations, but I would not expect them to get anything more. Surely I would like them to get as much as possible, but one have to be realistic about their chances.

Who's your best player and why?

Well, I think Jerzy Dudek is the best goalkeeper since we had Tomaszewski. There are some talented Polish players, and we also have Olisadebe...

What do you think to the England side?

I think England have a good team, as usual. So potentially they can get a lot, however I would not bet on them. It seems England is unlucky in World Cup.

Do you know anyone that's going to Japan and Korea?

Personally no, but there are many football fans in Poland, so I am sure, that many of them will be there.
