World Cup correspondents: Japan
Yoko Hayashi

Yoko hopes all the World Cup traffic won't prevent her from getting home.

Japan are improving all the time, however they may only scrape through to the next phase.

Yoko is studying at Nottingham Trent University. See what she thinks to her country's chances. Also see what former Nottingham man Carl Gough thinks about Japan and their prospects.

How is your country preparing for the World Cup?
It's currently very hard to get air tickets in Japan, it might be difficult for me to get see my parents.
How do you think Japan will do in the World Cup?
We would like to win the World Cup, but to win a game will make me happy.
Who's your best player and why?
Nakata, who plays in Italy is our best player, he's good for organisation of the game.
What do you think to the England side?
I like England, in Japan Gary Linekar was a big hero for his his time at Grampus 8.
Where will you be watching the matches?
At home in Shizuoka, not far from Tokyo, hopefully I'll get to see some games but it's doubtful. I will watch on TV.
