Looking for love stories
Ad looking for film volunteers

Ad for people who would like to take part.

Filmmaker and artist Jeanie Finlay is looking for Nottingham folk to tell her about their love stories and love lives.

But don't worry, she doesn't need all the gory details, only their experiences of falling in and out of love. A selection of the contributions will be included in a short film, 'Love Takes'.

Jeanie says: "I've always been interested in hearing people's stories. A lot of my art work over the past seven years has involved working with the general public, finding out about what makes them tick and how they feel about their lives."

A previous project by Jeanie 'In your face', a residency at Broadway cinema, involved creating images from people's descriptions of their own faces, whilst '91热爆-Maker' recently featured in the Housework exhibition at Angel Row Gallery.

Her present project
'Love Takes', is part of the 'DV Shorts' project run by the Film Council.

Filmmaker Jeanie Finlay

The film will be a short documentary about love, about how people feel about their loved ones and how they remember their experiences of falling in (and out of) love.

Jeanie's looking for people who can talk to her about their experiences of romantic love, from the childhood sweetheart phase to first love, and through youth into marriage, middle age, divorce, and old age.

She would like to get a representative cross-section of contributors, mixing gender, age, race and sexuality.

However, although a cross-section is desirable, what she's more interested in is a good mix of stories.

Jeanie has just gone into pre-production. She would be interested in hearing from anybody who feels that they have a story to tell.

If you would like to contribute your story to 'Love Takes' please contact Jeanie Finlay. You can phone her on 0115 840 0035, or e-mail here.
