This month the
Cats Protection League enjoys its 75th anniversary.
To help them celebrate in style the Nottingham website team has joined
up with 91热爆 Radio Nottingham's Sarah Julian in a challenge to rehome
five cats.
As part of her Julian on the Job series Sarah spent a week at the
Whiteley Shelter in Warsop and agreed to find new homes for some lovely
pussies.
Below we feature five of their mature cats:
If you are interested in having a new family member please contact

Buttons
is a very fussy, outgoing cat |
Buttons
Black and white female, 10 years old.
She was brought to the shelter on the 6th of April because her owner
was moving away and could not take her.
She is a very fussy and outgoing cat, very bossy with other cats so
would prefer a home of her own, where she could be the centre of attention.
Sadly she has lost her tail, but makes up for it with her personality.

Pippy is
a very quiet cat but fussy once you get to know her |
Pippy
Tabby female, 10 years old.
She was also brought in to the shelter on the 6th of April because
her owners moved away and could not take her.
A very quiet cat but very friendly once she gets to know you.
She was very scared when she first came to us, but has settled in
very well.
Loves to be stroked and given a good fuss.
She needs a quite home and would make a lovely companion cat.
She is most happy when getting attention.

Peggy Sue
is a very playful and loving cat |
Peggy Sue
Black female, 1 year old.
She came to us on the 21st of February after a road traffic accident.
She suffered internal injuries and we were worried she may also lose
a back leg, which was badly damaged.
Due to lots of wonderful veterinary treatment she made a full recovery.
She still has four legs, albeit one is a little wonky!
She is a very playful and loving cat, (she just would not pose for
the photo).
Despite all she has been through, she has impressed us with her bravery.
She loves a cuddle and she has a really loud purr.
She needs a new home where she can get lots of attention, but not
close to a busy road.

Lucky is
a very mischievous and playful cat with boundless energy |
Lucky
Tabby/White male, 18 Months old.
He came to the shelter on 10th of April.
He had been living as a stray and was taken in, but he would not settle
so they brought him to us.
Very mischievous and playful cat with boundless energy.
Very inquisitive and loves to play with toys. Needs a new home with
plenty of room to explore and owners who have plenty of time to keep
him amused.
Not suitable for young children as he plays a little too rough. He
would be fine with older children and adults.

Josie has
been at the Shelter for quite a while due to her age but deserves
a new home |
Josie
Tortie cat with white accessories under her chin and white feet, has
green eyes and is 12 years old.
She's been in the shelter since February.
She did have a home for many years with an elderly lady who developed
asthma.
She was an only cat and would like a similar owner - she might not
cope very well with children or dogs.
She likes to be made a fuss of when she's in the mood but she's not
always in the mood.
