Looking
back on the views of how people in Nottingham perceive the Meadows
to be, I am glad that I decided to stand alone to make my own judgement.
When
considering moving I was bombarded with such negativity and certainty
of what would happen to me.
Obviously
the Meadows has been misrepresented and what I have seen has been
very different.
The
Meadows has a lot to offer its residents from childcare facilities,
numerous education centres to its festivals, local shopping centres
and library.
As
a single parent bringing up a young child, I have found the Meadows
surprisingly quiet and very interesting.

The
Bridgeway shopping centre - the heart of the Meadows |
I
live in a pleasant cul de sac a short walk from town and the embankment.
So far I have had a warm welcome in to the Meadows in particular
from the One Stop Shop. They are a friendly approachable team who
really want to help you either in finding a career or getting practical
job advice and childcare.
Moving
to the Meadows has definitely been the right move for me, I have
found that the facilities that have been available to me have given
me direction, focus and the confidence that I need to succeed.
I
enjoy living here and being a part of a small community each day
as I see the hustle and bustle of traffic and people as they go
about their business.
Preconceived
notions are contagious especially bad ones. The way I look at it
, is that no matter where you go there will always be an area that
people have already made judgement on whether they have been to
that particular area or not.
Personally
I think that the Meadow will prove itself.
