My Meadows - Andrew H Marsden I run the Butchers in the Bridgeway Precinct, it鈥檚 my first business.
I鈥檝e been here for almost three and a half years now, but I don鈥檛 actually live in the Meadows.
I enjoy working in the Meadows, we supply a few pubs in and around the Meadows that we go to after work and have a beer.
I鈥檝e found the people very pleasant and accommodating. Everybody is helpful with any problems or needs that I have and vice versa.

We're always here to try and help.
Having been here for three years it鈥檚 been quite an enlightening experience with a diversity of mixed race people within the Meadows.
There are good and bad points to it as there are with most areas. But, I feel the community spirit rises above all the problems that are quite focused upon within the media and press.
I feel that things are getting better. There鈥檚 new police and community initiatives, which can only be good for the Meadows as a whole and for the people that are in it.
There should be more visible policing, you tend to see them on their bikes in the summer but you don鈥檛 see them in the winter. We would also like to see the CCTV up and running for 24 hours and not just from 7pm-5am or whatever time it does run until at night.
I come here first thing in the morning and the cameras are all down and not working, but that鈥檚 probably down to cost.
People should have a more positive view of the Meadows and not just the negative view that the press seem to have, everything seems to focus on the gun culture, the drugs, the crime, and I just wish that the media would come round and have a look at the more positive things that the community is trying to achieve for the better of the people of the meadows.
