Midlands |
Local born director Shane Meadows is expected to
attend along with some of the film's stars, Rhys Ifans, Shirley
Henderson, Finn Atkins and writer Paul Fraser.
With a cast including Robert Carlyle, Kathy Burke
and Ricky Tomlinson, hopes are high that Once Upon A Time In The
Midlands will cross over into the mainstream and become just as
big a hit as Meadows first major feature film TwentyFourSeven which
starred Bob Hoskins.
Once Upon A Time... tells the story of Shirley
and her two suitors - Dek and Jimmy.
Throw into the equation a daughter, estranged husbands,
boyfriends and sisters and it's clear the path of true love is never
going to run smoothly.
We'll bring you photos from the glitzy premiere
after the big event and a review of the film in our movie
section.
