It's

in Bedrock but that's just what Mark Addy's achieved.
The
Full Monty specialist is now Fred Flintstone, albeit a
young Fred. This is the story of how best friends Fred
and Barney met and fell in love with Wilma and Betty.
It
all happens when the boys pop out for a bite to eat and
meet the waitressing girls. A double date follows and,
as fans of the cartoon series will realise, wedding bells
eventually chime.

The
film uses many of the tricks which proved so successful
in the children's television programme. So expect prehistoric
animals being used as everyday domestic items.
Suffice
to say, when the two couples head for a weekend in Rock
Vegas, the hottest rock resort on the continent, surprises
are never far away.

out for the return of Joan Collins, who plays Fred's mother-in-law
