Standing in the shade of the portaloos, The Officers are still looking every inch the rock stars after their performance on the Sunday. I caught up with the guys to find out how their set went鈥 鈥淥耻迟谤补驳别辞耻蝉!鈥
Describing themselves as 鈥榯he future of rock and roll鈥, the electro-rock five-piece have already impressed crowds throughout the UK after playing shows with celebrated band Placebo and supporting The Cooper Temper Clause. 鈥淭hat was great!鈥 says vocalist Matt, 鈥淓very show鈥檚 just about what we're doing really, we don't really concentrate on who we're playing with or anything like that 鈥 you've really got to knuckle down and get into it, and sort of think about who you're trying to reach and who you're trying to connect with really鈥 I thought we more than held our own, definitely, and it was great just for reaching a few more people鈥. 鈥淚t was a good experience just to play on that level really鈥 added synth-player Stu, 鈥淛ust to prove to ourselves that we're capable of doing it.鈥 The festival's main stage Having formed only a year ago, the band have already had an amazing year in terms of achievement with a growing list of shows and festival appearances and establishing that all important unique sound. So what does the next few months hold for The Officers? 鈥淩ecording. We're going to do a demo and probably [start] the album, which is going to be pretty exciting鈥 say the band, 鈥淲e'll be going into the studio with Jagz Kooner, developing our sound and everything about the band so we're as good as we can be 鈥 we're just willing to put everything we've got into it鈥. So with an album and plenty more shows to come, keep your eyes and ears open for more from The Officers in the near future.
