Moor Music Festival in Ilkley

It's a thumbs up for Ilkley's festival!

Moor Raw Local Talent

Festival goers from near and far flooded to Ilkley in West Yorkshire for the two-day Moor Music Festival in the heart of the area's beautiful countryside.

Showcasing the very best in local and national bands, the festival offered something for absolutely everyone - from the numerous styles of bands in the two main tents, to the all day and night DJ and drum and bass areas, to the bar, acoustic, film, comedy, and kids tents.

Dancing in wellies

Friday 20th July unfortunately saw highly anticipated headliners I Was A Cub Scout pull out, but the day still proved unforgettable thanks to some great performances by Yorkshire's finest talent. The likes of Danny Gough and his Nu York State ignited the 91热爆 Spun tent into an outdoor disco, with everyone enjoying the music and learning that you can dance in wellies!

The Moor Live tent saw band after amazing band take to the stage to provide intimate performances to an enthusiastic and friendly crowd. Leeds bands O'Fracas and Massive Heron sounded fantastic with their alternative and experimental musical styles, while Middleman and Stateless were met with a heroes welcome.

Fantastic Line-Up

Day two of the festival proved to be just as fantastic, with York's Robokid tearing up the Twisted Ballroom tent with his electric DJ set. Saturday 21st July also saw York's Grinny Grandad command the stage, quickly followed by The Sound of the Baskervilles with their funky take on hip-hop and soul.

Ilkley scenery

The very best in the local music scene's hottest talents was displayed on the Moor Live stage over the day - Mr Parker provided some soulful grooves for their early slot, later followed by electro beats from The Hair, an amazing set by Four Day Hombre, and a packed-out tent for 10,000 Things.

Muddy Fun!

With over 100 bands and acts over the two days, the countryside became a hub of festival fun, the hills throbbing with the sounds of fantastic local music and dancing feet. As the grass slowly turned to mud, the rain had little hope of disturbing the amazing atmosphere of the weekend.

This festival is small but perfectly formed, with an incredible line-up year after year, and a must for anyone who loves to support and find out more about their local music scene.
