May at Whitefield

The winter gloom is far away,
Now the sun is shining on a springtime day.
Rain clouds are gone for-ever more,
No need to fear another windswept downpour.

The mountain side is green and lush,
The meadow flowers bloom and the sweet spring waters rush,
Birds in their flight sing loud and clear
For all in the village of Whitefield to hear.
