THE MELTIN' POT
In 1942, a B17 bomber which was known as 鈥淭he Meltin鈥 Pot鈥 crashed into the sea off Donegal after its engines caught fire. A local girl who spotted it managed to save some of the crew, by rowing out to the crash site. The remains were undisturbed until 2001. Seamus Carey, who discovered it, and Danny Farren, both from Inishowen Sub Aqua Club spoke to Mark Patterson.
