Environmentalists, according to squirrel fan, Malachi O鈥橠oherty, are operating a colour bar. They don鈥檛 like the migrant squirrel which came to Ireland in the last century and which thrives here. It is grey. It is vermin, and many approve brutal measures to advance its extermination.... They like red squirrels. Why? Because they鈥檙e indigenous.鈥
