Stuart Bush completed his Masters of Art in Fine Art at the University of Northampton where he graduated in 2006. Stuart has worked on building a reputation as an exciting new talent with paintings inspired by his feeling of alienation in a man made world.

The Sanctuary, Northampton will be hosting 'Perspective', a show of Stuart's new works from the Saturday, 1st September to Sunday, 22nd of September.

Review of 'Perspective'

Stuart's recent work titled 'Perspective' is an intriguing exhibition of work that challenges our view of the fugitive and urban space.听The work is inspired by feelings of estrangement with the western contemporary consumerist society and takes on a direct response to how we live to consume and how we conflict with the world we have created.

The paintings capture the feeling of the world flowing quickly in lively paintings focusing on a single moment of experience, in a frame of seemingly significance.听The cinematic shaped canvass and raw coloured canvas push the boundaries of how paint deals with photographic realism.听The paintings evolve an impact on the viewer as they explore physical conflicts with reality.听The work gives the present sense of how the bustling city evokes a threat of alienation with our man made contemporary lifestyle and gives the feeling a familiar encounter as an estranged viewer in the city.
