Well, here we are on the other side of AMEF 07 (Arts Meets Environment Festival) held at Fermynwoods Country Park near Brigstock. The crew are all shattered and in need of a good night's sleep but unable to get one because we're still buzzing!ÌýThe festival was hard work but worth it. It was a great opportunity to pick up new skills and exercise old ones whilst making new friends and listening to some fantastic music.

Emma, one of the young people on the Festival Committee said, "I enjoyed taking a break from selling tickets to practice what I've learnt at one of the AMEF's filming workshops," and Tom, another Festival Committee member, and one of the crew working over the weekend, surprised himself when he agreed to take on the role of M.C. on Sunday at short notice: "I've never done anything like that before, but the crowd were great fun. The bands were a laugh too".

We'd all like to thank the bands and DJ's that played and the people of all ages who came along to listen to them.ÌýEveryone enjoyed themselves and we've already had some great feedback from artistes, bands, DJ's and members of the audience.

Rachel Furner, one of our most popular artists stated on 'myspace', "Thanks again for letting me play.ÌýYou did an amazing job, everyone was saying how well organised the event was... bet you're a bit tired now????"

The AMEF 07 Music Festival

Tom from Racune, one of the bands who played on Saturday (11th August) added, "Cheers for having us play at the weekend, we had an awesome time.ÌýJust wanted to say how impressed we all were at how well the whole thing was organised and that we would love to play again next year."

Harvey Steele from Harvey Steal's Band performed on the Sunday and wrote, "Thanks a lot for having us on the Sunday, all the boys had a good time and I can't remember having such a good time on stage.ÌýCan't wait for the 08 - well up for it!"

There are just too many positive comments to list but we must also mention Paul from Elektro Statik who said, "Just droppin' by to say thank you from all the Elektro Statik crew.ÌýGreat job on the Festival.ÌýHad a wicked time and proud to be amongst such good people and great artists.ÌýBig ups and roll on AMEF 08.ÌýCheers".

People who attended have also been leaving messages on our website and ringing in too to congratulate the Team on a brilliant weekend.Ìý

Kimberley wrote, "I came along to the festival on the Sunday and thought it was great!ÌýI really enjoyed myself and so did my friends. The line up of bands was great - I'm a huge fan of Mesh-29 so of course I felt that - but one thing I thought that was really good about the Festival was that it catered for lots of musical tastes.ÌýMe and my 2 friends who came along to the Festival have different tastes in music... so I wasn't sure how they would enjoy the music - but they loved it cos there were great live bands playing a mixture of rock and indie, dance music in between the bands and even some drum and bass going on so everyone was happy!ÌýIt was in a nice location too - especially liked the fact that there was a park nearby-haven't had so much fun on swings for a long time!"
