Funeral

By Samuel Noel-Heath, 15, from Northampton.

I went to the funeral, still no one suspected me. I married five times after that, the first two having affairs with a shopkeeper and a teacher, the other three were also having affairs, not with women, but with teenaged boys, aged sixteen to nineteen. I killed them all, I had no remorse inside me to feel any grief for what I've done. I would do it again and again even if it means to kill more people.

I was then twenty-nine and a murderer. My heart had now gone even more colder, more colder than I was at sixteen. I just wanted revenge now since all my husbands had cheated on me with either a woman or a man.

My next husband, my eighth husband, was a very old man with a very weak heart. He had a soft spot for poker, booze and young and successful woman. Oh, yeah, my job now was a secretary for a very high Law firm. Anyway, I had married this old man called Pearce Browne. He had six children and five wives, his last wife died of cancer, he told me that he had cancer of the lung. We were in bed, kissing and telling each other these childish, ignorant stories, which made me detest him even more, I couldn't wait until I slip the 'little something' I made for him last night.

The moment came, he passed me with glass, half filled with dark red wine, turned over to my bedside cabinet and slipped it in. I handed it back to him and watched him gulp it all down, every last drop. Ten seconds passed, he choked on his throat and clutched his chest. I lifted myself off the bed and banged twice on his chest, he gasped for air. I picked up the knife on the table, pulled his trousers off and did the same to all of my deceased husbands. I screamed and I heard the doorbell ring and our next door neighbour had heard me scream, he ran upstairs and saw him. He asked me what had happened, I answered him saying I was watching tv and went and checked up on him to see him laying there.

I went to his funeral, I felt no remorse for his death, because I got my revenge for my first husband and two more must die for the other three. And the ninth one had just appeared.

His name was Kane Miller. A successful lawyer, big house and loads of money. He told me, he was going to run for Mayor of the town, which got me more excited than ever to get married to him and take my revenge of my second husband, Helios Parker. We were having dinner at a high-priced restaurant and he placed the ring inside my chocolate fudge cake. I said yes obviously and got married the next month. My whole family was there, cheering me on. No one knew that my heart was getting harder and colder every time I'm around men, but I had to do this, for my revenge. Half an hour passed, I walked up the aisle with my handsome father at my side. He said things to me.

"I never believed at this age, you would get so lucky and marry a successful lawyer turned Mayor,", "Your dear sister, Faye, would of liked to be here,", "I never think I've been more proud of you, except of your achievement of your GCSEs."

I hardened myself against these words, I disliked them. I finally reached the alter and waited patiently for him to arrive, he never did. I would never forget or forgive him for it. Three weeks later, I found out he was married to some stupid model and I had contacts with the police to find out his address, so I made a visit to his cosy home and I took my revenge. I punched him, slashed him and then did the same annual thing I always did to those who betrayed me.

Just like what I did to my sister, Faye, who betrayed me with my boyfriend in middle school.

I went to his funeral and didn't pay my respects for what he done to me. I still had one more person, man or boy, to kill. I didn't care which now, as long as I had my long away revenge.
