The Deco is proud to announce a return to its heyday as a thriving cinema, with the opening night of a new season of film screenings starting on Tuesday, 25th July.
The Deco - Film Facts
The Deco opened its doors as The Savoy in 1936, the first purpose-built 'super cinema' in Northampton.
In the 1950's it was re-branded as an ABC Cinema although the building remained unchanged.
The last film to be shown was Pulp Fiction in 1995.
Deco Films will take place in the auditorium every Tuesday evening showing a range of British and Hollywood cinema classics.
It kicks off with Francis Ford Coppola's masterpiece Apocalypse Now (Redux Version).
(More single films will be announced in the near future).
Doors open at 6pm and you can relax with a drink at the bar before the film starts at 6.45pm.
There will be a 20 minute interval between films on double-bill nights.
Future Tuesday screenings will also include double-bills:
1st August: The science fiction classics Alien and Aliens shown back-to-back.
8th August: The music-themed A Hard Day's Night and Walk The Line.
15th August: The Maltese Falcon and Memento.
