has most inspired you while working on Blue Peter?

I guess the type of people who've inspired me on Blue Peter
are the sport stars we get on the show.
People
like the rower Matthew Pinsent, or Gary Lineker, people who
have reached the very top in what they do. I always find these
sort of people really inspiring.

The necklace doesn't have any particular significance. It's
just something I like wearing.

If I was stranded on an island the one thing I would take
would be a book on how to build a boat!!

is your favourite creepy crawly?

Simon:
My favourite creepy crawlies are spiders. There are so
many different types and great to watch. I saw some huge one's
(about the size of my hand) when we filmed in Vietnam last
summer.

Simon:
Very good question, and the simple answer is I don't know.
Someone once said to me that no one has ever told the story
of what would have happened. So had I not got the job who
knows? But I like to think I'd be doing something half as
good as Blue Peter.
