A landmark 91热爆 radio series exploring the historic and contemporary forces that have shaped our county is to be broadcast from 91热爆 Radio Norfolk.

The series, called A Sense of Place, will consist of six documentary programmes which will look at people's personal connections to Norfolk, and their experiences of living in the county.

Like The Century Speaks, the last hugely successful radio documentary series, A Sense of Place will also involve contributions from you and will be broadcast in Spring 2002.

Producer Lyn McKinney is looking for people with a story to tell about their locality, and initially this will focus on three main areas - language, incomers and favourite places:

"The Norfolk language has been much in the news recently. Should we fight to keep it alive and what does it tell others about us?"she asks.

"If you've lived in Norfolk all your life, I'd like to hear your views on the impact that recent incomers have made to Norfolk, but I'd also like to hear from those who've moved here, whether they be from the next county or other countries," she added.

If you have a strong reason for favouring one particular spot, Lyn says wants to hear about it.

"I moved to south Norfolk in 1975 for two years - and I'm still here. I'm curious to know more about that pull, to know why Norfolk 'does different' and what that means. A Sense of Place will certainly try to answer that," she said.

This is a unique opportunity for you to have your say about our changing county at the beginning of the 21st century. There is also a chance for you make your own contributions via the 91热爆 Norfolk website.
