In the wake
of the report by the Commission on the Future of Multi-Ethnic
Britain, which called on the government to make a formal declaration
that Britain is a multi-cultural society, the exhibition could
be more relevant than ever.
Tonia Mihall
believes it is important to get the message across to the whole
community and she hopes the historical contribution of ethnic
minorities will be explored further. 鈥淭his is the reality of
Britain as a country - every part of it has been multi-cultural.
That is a strength and anything that suggests differently is
a distortion of the truth.鈥
