Working
with the police
WOW is also working with the police and community-safety
officers, providing awareness training so they can better serve
our community. We have a list of the police鈥檚 Community
Contact Officers (CCOs) in Norfolk. It is hoped that
women will feel safer to report crimes against them or their
families (such as domestic violence within a same-sex relationship,
homophobic incidents of any kind, children being bullied at
school etc.).
WOW also offer a third-party reporting facility, so we can pass
on your report, complaint or witness-account to the police -
anonymously if you prefer. Victim Support is also now gay and
lesbian needs-aware.
What's going on
We
have up-to-date information on:
clubs,
pubs, cafes and guesthouses, social
groups and support networks, an East Anglian walking group,
herb
garden events, picnics for children, workshops,
parties and fundraising events.
