Circus Hilarious is exactly that - hilarious.

It's a mixture of pantomime and circus but more than that, it introduces a brand new star in the shape of Danny Adams.

Normally this show tours Britain's theatres, but it's very much at home in Norfolk's own much loved 100-year-old circus building.

The show is full of crazy madcap humour and routines including slapstick which - for once - is genuinely funny.

They cover the floor and themselves, in so much foam, it's like multi-coloured mud wrestling with all of them slip sliding and skidding all over the place. A great finish to the first half of the show.

Clive Webb is the man behind it all. He's the ringmaster figure who also proves he's still capable of reverting to his former life as a drummer.

Danny Adams is the cheeky clown who's there to annoy him at every turn. Danny can juggle, ride a unicycle, sing, dance, do a bit of ventriloquism and make us laugh.

He has the audience on his side from the moment he steps into the ring and never loses them with his manic performing throughout this two and half hour show.

Even the corniest cheesy jokes have us laughing. He's a very talented young man who will go far.

It's a multi-talented cast. Sharing the clowning is Cousin Timoni who shines in the slapstick.

He's also manages the nerve-wracking plate spinning routine which keeps us all on the edge of our seats wondering if they'll all stay up.

There's magic from Johnny Marks who can make his female assistant disappear before our very eyes.

On the circus side there's Yvette with her acrobatic feats and the ability to fit her body into a tiny perspex box, while Russell Jones is an impressive 'Flying Doctor' from Australia who's feats on the trapeze act are quite breathtaking. Singer Helen Knight and her dancers complete the line up.

This is a great treat for the Easter holidays. The action doesn't flag for a moment and the time flies by all too quickly.

Well worth a trip to Great Yarmouth where we can only hope this becomes a regular spring attraction.

Shows twice daily at 2.30 and 6pm until Sunday 18 April, 2004. Tickets available from the box office on 01493 844172.
