Strictly fans were treated to more delightfully dazzling dancing this weekend.

2024 also marks 20 years since the first famous faces of Strictly waltzed, shimmied and sashayed onto our TV screens - and there was lots of glitz and glamour at Blackpool to mark the occasion.

Only seven couples now remain, but who failed to make the cut this time around?

It was opera singer Wynne and his pro partner Katya we said goodbye to this week, as they left the competition following a dance off against Montell and Johannes.

It was Montell's second time in the dance-off

The Olympian and Gladiator performed a Salsa to Don鈥檛 Leave Me This Way by Thelma Houston.

Then, Wynne and Katya performed their Charleston to Carmen Suite No. 1: 5. Les Toreadors by George Bizet.

After both couples had danced a second time, three of the four judges chose to save Montell and Johannes meaning they would stay to dance another week.

Head judge Shirley Bassey said she also would have chosen to save them.

Wynne said his time on the show had been "wonderful", and that he was proud of how far he'd come: "If I can come and do Strictly and last until week nine, then anybody can get out there and dance and have a brilliant time.

"Strictly is such a brilliant family, such a precious family, that I want everybody here in this room and at home to look after it for the generations to come because it is a wonderful, wonderful thing.

Katya said she had an amazing time being partnered with Wynne: 鈥淭o be honest with you, the smile hasn't left my face since the first day of our training, since the day we got partnered up...

"You bring light, you bring laughter, you bring charisma, you fill up every room you walk into with those qualities鈥.

With only five weeks to go until someone lifts the glitter ball trophy, the remaining seven couples come back next week on Saturday 23 November for the return of the Dance-a-Thon.

This is when they all dance continuously, as opposed to in a short routine.

They'll be trying to impress the judges with their samba moves.
