Why has summer been cold and wet so far?
It's July, but for many of you around the UK right now, it certainly hasn't felt like it.
Instead of warm and sunny weather, it's been pretty cold in lots of places and there's been lots of rain.
But why is that?
It's mainly down to something called the jet stream.
This is a band of air that moves from west to east, and at the moment it is sitting south of the UK.
This is allowing lots of cold air from the very chilly Arctic to come down to the UK, bringing with it cold and wet weather.
But not to worry! The jet stream will move north soon, which means warmer air from hot countries like Spain and France will be allowed in, and you know what that means... hopefully a warm, sunny summer!
