Storm Bert in pictures as UK sees heavy snow, rain and strong winds
Many people woke up to more snow in north east England and southern Scotland on Saturday as Storm Bert hit the UK.
The storm is the second named storm of the 2024/25 season which began on 1 September.
Bert has brought a combination of heavy snow, rain and wind to much of the country with disruption to travel and hundreds of train cancellations, particularly in the north of the UK.
More than 100 flood warnings and alerts were in place across England, Scotland and Wales on Saturday afternoon.
And nearly 3,000 buildings were without power across England and Wales.
