Big Ben to bong over Christmas holidays
The chimes of Big Ben will be heard again over the Christmas holidays.
The famous clock tower has been silent since August to allow work to be carried out on the tower.
It had been agreed that it would chime for major events, such as Remembrance Sunday and New Year's Eve.
But it is now understood that the bongs will be restored from 23 December until New Year's Day.
