US want national park on the moon
The United States is considering a national park on the Moon.
Two US politicians say an area on the lunar surface, where equipment from the lunar landings can be found, should be given the same protected status as presidential birthplaces on Earth.
They also want the regions where American astronauts walked to be recognised as World Heritage Sites.
They're worried that if the areas are not protected space tourists in the future could damage them.
Astronauts who walked on the Moon left equipment on the lunar surface including flags and a moon buggy.
