Newcastle store war

Shoppers in the County Down town fear losing their main supermarket and 200 jobs because the site is owned by a rival retailer.

Big supermarket chains are used to battling with the competition over prices, but in Newcastle, Tesco runs the risk of losing its whole store to Lidl.

Local in the area fear that if Tesco has to close,听 200 full and part time jobs could also be lost.
